The 7th annual Mayfest on Main festival will feature some of the best live musical acts, art, craft and food vendors, a community stage and a children's area. Bring a beach chair to this family event to enjoy a day on Main Street, Saturday, May 12, 2012. Browse local shops while strolling the street for one of a kind beach memories. The festival begins at 10:00 am and continues until 6:00 pm. The Main Stage is located at “the Horseshoe” and begins performances at 12:30 pm. You are sure to have a day full of fun with the family.
The festival has grown tremendously in it's short 6 years of existence so we've decided to extend the festival to include a one day intro into the main event on Saturday, May 12th.

29th Annual Boat ParadeDon't miss this annual Inlet patriotic tradition! The 29th Annual July 4th Boat Parade kicks off at high tide from Garden City Point. This year's parade theme will be announced later this Spring. The parade will head over to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and then follow the Murrells Inlet shoreline down to the Hot Fish Club. Best public viewing points are the Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Nance's Restaurant, Captain Pooh's Restaurant and the Hot Fish Club. Live Music in the GardenExperience Brookgreen Gardens at twilight during Cool Summer Evenings. Live entertainment is planned for every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening through the summer. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and relax. Performances are included with garden admission and free to members. The Pavilion Restaurant will offer a special menu until 7 p.m. Desserts and beverages will be available for sale at the gardens as well.

July 4th Fireworks DisplayThe Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurants will light up the skies on the 4th of July with a spectacular fireworks display. The show, which is shot off from the end of the Veterans Pier, is scheduled to start at 10:00 pm. Spectators can view the display from the many vantage points off the marsh shoreline, including the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, and the Marlin Quay Marina area.
